MIKE WARDIAN'S TRANSCON

Dispatch

Running

Mike Wardian, a long time pro runner and inspiration to many, is currently making his way across the United States on a transcontinental run from San Francisco, California to Dewey Beach, Delaware. He is averaging 50 miles a day and traveling predominantly on Route 50: America's Loneliest Highway.

I had the honor of running with Mike on day 24 of his journey as he made his way through Salida, CO. The conditions that day could not have been worse. The Salida area was experiencing a late season snowstorm making the roads slushy with low visibility. Even with these less than ideal conditions, Mike had nothing but positive vibes and appreciation for those who came out to support him. He is the real deal and someone worth following.

Mike showing appreciation for those who came out to run with him despite the less than ideal conditions. A true display of character
